Still collecting my thoughts about this.
I'd corresponded with him all the way back to ANSWER Me! #1 and only started talking with him on the phone after his initial brain-tumor diagnosis a few years back. We talked a lot. He had a relapse last summer and they placed him in some hospice where it was absolutely impossible to ever get him on the phone. The last time I talked to him was probably around August. One of the saddest conversations I'd ever had.
There goes another good egg.
